Up Coming Workshops
Creature-making workshop
Sunday, November 17 , 10:30- Noon , Age 8-12
Emma Fick’s kids’ workshop inspired by her dads’ sculptures currently on display at Parlour Gallery. Each young artist will take home a small “creature” for display at home, complete with a sawtooth-hanger on the back and ready to hang.
The workshop will take place in the gallery displaying Tom’s works— students will literally be surrounded by inspiration. Modular wooden shapes based on Tom’s pieces will be layered together and painted to create mini sculptures. Ambitious students are free to make more than one. What will they see? A face, a body, a dragon, a mystery creature? We can’t wait to find out.
Where: 822 Camp St
When: Sunday, November 17, 10:30am-noon
Age group: 8-12
Note: parents are free to hang out in the front gallery room during the workshop, or leave and pick up their kids at the end. If you have a child a bit younger than the age range listed, please contact Emma, we might be able to fit them in.

STATEMENT BY CAMP X CAMP
May 26th, 2024
Regretfully, Camp X Camp is cancelled due to low registrations.
We are deeply disappointed - we were so looking forward to providing a summer of creativity, inspiration, and fun to the young artists of New Orleans.
Camp X Camp will hopefully return at a later date.
To everyone who has supported and encouraged us along the way - we sincerely thank you.
Our mission
At Camp x Camp our mission is to provide a vibrant, nurturing, and creative space for budding young artists to develop their love of the arts.
Our hands-on activities are led by local practicing artists, makers, and creatives. Campers will participate in engaging theme-based sessions that encourage self-expression and problem-solving through an exploration of different artistic media.
Values
Creativity - Boldly bring your imagination, your self-expression, and your bright ideas to camp!
Curiosity - Approach each day and new activity with a curious mind. Stay open to possibilities.
Kindness - Be kind, always. To others, and yourself.
